The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Friday closes the distance and clinches.

It looks like Kyle Bates has been cut.

Bates has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Friday avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

and Friday counters with a head kick that crumples his opponent - he's in a world of trouble! Friday looks at the referee who does nothing so Friday lands a crushing right that sends Bates to the floor! This time the ref steps in to end the fight.

Truth tries to close the distance and clinch up but Taylor swats him away and circles back towards the center.
We've been told by Truth's head coaches at Double XX that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

A little feinted left hand from Truth on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Truth gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Taylor.
Truth throws a jab but it's blocked by Taylor.
Taylor takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Truth takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Truth misses with a shot to the body
and Taylor counters with a nice uppercut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Truth takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Truth tries to clinch up but Taylor circles away and keeps his distance.
Truth throws the kick towards the body but Taylor avoids it.

Truth is posturing up here but Taylor has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Truth tries to roll out but it's too tight and Truth has to tap! Slick submission there by Taylor!
