The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A swing and a miss from Chrome.
Chrome tries to bum rush Bear with a series of wild strikes but Bear uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Bear drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Chrome defends it well.
Chrome fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Bear is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Chrome will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
And Bear tries to counter it with a takedown but Chrome pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Chrome looks to land a combination but Bear avoids it well.
Chrome is breathing heavily.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
