Varga is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Lang is just riding it out for now. Varga eventually gives up the hold.

Varga is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Lang can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

I was talking to Rock's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Stein comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Red - Falling Sky kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Stein is looking to chop away at Easton's legs.
Stein lands with a straight right. Easton didn't see that one coming.

Easton changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Stein looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Stein is looking to regain half guard here but Easton keeps moving and retains side control.
Stein felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hendrix looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Thomas is fending him off so far but Hendrix persists. Nope, Thomas circles away and we're back to standing.
Thomas looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Thomas looks to land a combination but Hendrix avoids it well.
Thomas feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Hendrixs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Thomas digs a good hook to Hendrix's body.
No luck for Hendrix with that takedown attempt.

and Thomas counters with a straight right hand.
Tom Thomas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andre Hendrix.

Hendrix shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Thomas napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Hendrix thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Thomas tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Hendrix wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

After the fight, Andre Hendrix was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
