Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Murphy on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Murphy takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Murphy throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Cheek's waist but Cheek gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Murphy off to one side.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Brown lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Brown stalks Chang and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Chang's face. Chang staggers backwards, shaken.

Oh but Chang is tightening it up a little... Brown has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Brown reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Brown taps out! Nice BJJ there by Chang!

It looks like Shane One Punch has been cut.

Brown is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by The champ is here. Antonio Brown told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Matthes back to the ropes. Brown follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Matthes drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Matthes jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

and Matthes decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Brown's guard.

Matthes drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Brown dives on top into guard.


The fighters are working up against the ropes. Matthes manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the ropes.

Brown ties up his opponent against the ropes and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Brown no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Brown fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Matthes manages to avoid it.
