Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jackson Fumire!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fumire misses with a takedown
and Baird counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Fumire goes for a double leg but Baird avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Baird continues to drive forward.
Fumire walks into a straight right hand from Baird.
Baird will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Fumire looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.

Baird has taken the fight to the clinch.
Fumire is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Baird is defending well.
Macadam Baird has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jackson Fumire.
Fumire is trying to drag Baird to the mat but Baird just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Baird breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Baird scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fumire misses with a takedown attempt
and Baird counters with a crisp right that sends Fumire to the canvas! Baird follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burns fails with a takedown attempt.
Burns misses with the combination.
Dunn changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Dunn enables Burns to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Dunn manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Dunn on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Dunn tries to get out of the position.
Burns stops Dunn from standing up.
Dunn keeping moving, preventing Burns from controlling successfully.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dunn is pulling down on Burns's head. It's preventing any offense from Burns, at least for the moment.
Burns prevents Dunn from getting back to his feet.

Dunn pulls Burns in to control the position.
Burns trying to control the position from guard on top but Dunn is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Burns might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Dunn haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Burns loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Dunn wants to sweep here but Burns controlling him for the moment.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Alastair Dunn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Dunn shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Dunn was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Burns bucks up and tries to throw Dunn off but instead Dunn has got his back!
Burns just trying to survive but Dunn is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.

Dunn lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Dunn lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Dunn.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Dunn is working the ground and pound. Can Burns escape?

Burns covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.

Dunn lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Dunn.
Burns is still in real trouble! Can Dunn finish him?
Dunn drops a couple of huge strikes from the back position and Burns is in real trouble here! Dunn lands more strikes and the referee has to step in to end the fight! Dunn is delighted!

Rua takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Rua throws a body kick that misses.
Rua misses with a looping left.
Rua walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Anderson checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Rua bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
A nice inside leg kick there by Rua. That's going to slow Anderson down.
Anderson tests Rua's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Anderson lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Anderson ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Anderson scores with a leg kick.
Rua has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Anderson.
Rua gets cracked there but stands up to it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Anderson shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Anderson misses with a hook. Rua ducked under it nicely.
Anderson tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Rua is able to avoid easily.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Rua.
Gabriel Rua seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Anderson scores with a crisp jab that stopped Rua in his tracks.
A low kick from Rua is predictable there
and Anderson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Rua misses with a low kick.

Anderson circles away from the clinch attempt.
Rua tries to move into range but Anderson moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Anderson thuds his shin into the meat of Rua's side.

and Rua counters with an outside leg kick.
Anderson checks the leg kick nicely there.
Rua takes one to the chin there.
The fight stays on the outside here - Rua looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Anderson is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Anderson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Anderson jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Some wild striking there from Rua.
Rua moves away from the strike by Anderson.
A low kick from Rua misses
and Anderson makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Rua throws a head kick that misses.
Anderson thinks about countering with a head kick.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Anderson's corner calls for a 1-2. Anderson obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Rua is rocked!
Rua attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

Anderson checks a leg kick.
Anderson steps in with a hook that catches Rua right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Anderson follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Rua looks absolutely devastated.

Sparky Anderson decided to call for a title shot in his post fight interview, which was very strange given the fact this fight was for a title and he's already the champion. I guess that's what getting punched in the head does for you.

Nanahara looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Landry looks to throw the jab but Nanahara is out of range.
Nanahara seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Nanahara keeps Landry at a distance using the push kick.

Nanahara shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Landry eats them both and turns towards Nanahara to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Nanahara lands a big uppercut and Landry crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Landry looks OK. Nanahara waves Landry back to his feet!

Nanahara connects with a picture perfect right hand that knocks Landry out cold! This one is over in a flash!

A very excited looking Shuya Nanahara rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
