The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Mendez. No joy for Nelson on that attempt.
Mendez scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Nelson doesn't seem bothered though.

Nelson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Mendez throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!
A low kick from Nelson misses
and Mendez counters with a three punch combo that has Nelson backing up. Nelson nods at Mendez to acknowledge the strikes.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

A Rod misses with a takedown
and Stone counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
A Rod avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Stone throws a right and a left that both miss.
Stone rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but A Rod moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Stone looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Stone throws out a loose jab but A Rod uses good head movement to avoid it.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Stone takes a shot to the head.

I would just about give that final round to Who Cares.
