Miguel Morales told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morales blocks a head kick by Maher.
Maher cracks Morales with an open hand slap.
Maher looks to throw the jab but Morales is out of range.
Morales shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Maher as he avoids it easily.

and Morales decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Maher's guard.
Maher wants to sweep but no luck.
Morales's corner is telling him to maintain position.

That was a close round but I would say that Jason Maher will probably get the nod.

Morales not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Maher is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Morales is controlling Maher's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Maher is stalling here. Morales is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Maher seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Morales has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rider fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Johnson fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Rider has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Rider shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Rider was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Johnson wants to get back to his feet but Rider is dominant here and he's now got Johnson's back!
Johnson is covering up but some of the strikes from Rider are getting through and doing damage.
What can Johnson do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Oooh a big shot gets through from Rider. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!

Rider is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Johnson has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Burns seems to have locked his on tight now - Tuncer screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Burns, as he picks up the win!

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Tash has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
