Dean throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
enabling Faflatas to counter with a crisp jab.
Faflatas shoots in for a takedown but Dean shows good takedown defense.
Dean fails with a takedown attempt.
Faflatas swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Faflatas.
Faflatas looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Dean is fending him off so far but Faflatas persists. Nope, Dean circles away and we're back to standing.

Pumares closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Huang lands a left and a right that send Pumares crashing to the mat, dazed. Huang thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Neil Pumares has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Huang explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hughes goes for a double leg but Zivic avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Zivic continues to drive forward.
Johnny Zivic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hughes swings for the body but Zivic moves out of range.
Zivic has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
