Sammartino misses with a low kick.
Sammartino throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bud's waist but Bud gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sammartino off to one side.
Sammartino has a takedown stuffed.
Sammartino looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bud is fending him off so far but Sammartino persists. Nope, Bud circles away and we're back to standing.
Kona Bud has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ronnie Sammartino.

Pope connects with a combination that backs up Wong into the cage. Pope lands a flurry of punches that gets past Wong's guard. Wong is down and the referee has seen enough. It is all over! Pope bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him.

King Jr comes to the cage accompanied by MLK tribute. Anthony Ramirez struggled to make weight for this fight. Lee throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Diamond is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.

Diamond drives through and clinches with Lee against the cage.
Lee jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Diamond walks away with a smile on his face. Lee gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Sun Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lee throws a push kick but Diamond slaps the foot to one side.
Lee lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Lee.

It looks like King Diamond has been cut.
Lee lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Diamond with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Lee to score with a decent uppercut.

Diamond has Lee up against the cage in a clinch.
Diamond's coach down at The Bear's Den was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Diamond's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Diamond has clasped his hands together around Lee's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Diamond really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lee. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
