The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kropelis lands with an overhand left.
Kropelis lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Kropelis looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Marquez is fending him off so far but Kropelis persists. Nope, Marquez circles away and we're back to standing.
Kropelis has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Marquez is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Marquez goes for a double leg but Kropelis avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Kropelis continues to drive forward.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Kropelis is looking to sweep but instead, Marquez has passed into half guard.
Marquez is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Marquez goes for an armbar but Kropelis turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Kropelis.
Kropelis stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Marquez swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Kropelis changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Marquez tries to avoid it but Kropelis manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Marquez to the ground. Marquez escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Well Kropelis has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
