Concor gets caught napping as Blanchard dives in and scores a takedown. Concor manages to retain guard.
Concor is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Blanchard stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Concor throws up his legs and catches Blanchard in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Blanchard tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Concor! That came out of nowhere!

A determined Mepral Concor didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Abraam Levanashvilli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ash Camble (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Levanashvilli might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Roy Jones--Can't Be Touched. Ash Camble will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Levanashvilli decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Levanashvilli drops an elbow to the side of Camble's head.
Camble is staying active underneath Levanashvilli, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Camble misses with some strikes from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Camble gets back to full guard.
Levanashvilli wants to control from the top but Camble keeps moving.
Camble seems keen to control Levanashvilli's posture.

Camble is looking to cinch up a triangle. Levanashvilli throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Camble's body to avoid the submission. Camble has instead reached around Levanashvilli's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Camble arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Robertson misses with a double jab
and Mushimo counters with a thumping low kick.
Robertson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Mushimo.
Mushimo doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Mushimo avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Robertson changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Robertson jabs at Mushimo's body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Robertson darts in trying to clinch
and Mushimo counters with a slapping leg kick.

Robertson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Robertson jabs Mushimo to the body, keeping him at a distance.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Robertson.
Mushimo was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jake Robertson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A nice combination there by Robertson.

Mushimo takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Robertson shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Mushimo eats them both and turns towards Robertson to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Robertson lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
We've been told by Robertson's head coaches at Canadian Dragon MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Mushimo should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
A looping hook to the body misses from Robertson. Mushimo does a little dance to reset his feet.

Robertson wants to clinch but Mushimo slips to the side
and Mushimo counters with a good low kick that Robertson was not able to check.
Robertson scores with a punch to the head.
Robertson lands a glancing blow to the side of Mushimo's head.

Robertson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Mushimo has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Robertson is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Mushimo throws a sloppy strike and Robertson has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm! He's turned and extended fully! Mushimo is forced to tap! Great BJJ from Robertson!

Danielson connects with a right hand. Machio shakes it off.
Danielson just misses with a punch to the body.
Machio avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Machio tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Danielson connects with an inside leg kick.
Machio throws a sloppy head kick
and Danielson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Johnny Danielson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Machio ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Danielson seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Machio takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Machio shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Danielson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Machio closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Danielson did well to prevent Machio getting side control.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Machio is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Danielson is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

Veigne slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Veigne ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Blair moves away.
Nice cross by Veigne.
Blair slips under a jab.
Veigne scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Veigne lands a right hook to the body.
Veigne throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Blair stumbling backwards into the cage! Blair bounces back off the cage towards Veigne, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Veigne lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Veigne celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Lucas Veigne!
Lucas Veigne retains his light heavyweight title!
Lucas Veigne gave a mention to Gym Buddy Holdings in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
