The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dupp wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Jackson doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Dupp uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Dupp digs a good body shot into Jackson's ribs.
Dupp connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Dupp uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Jackson.
Jackson pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Dupp back to the ropes. Jackson follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Dupp displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Jackson throws out the jab.
Dupp thuds his right hand into Jackson's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Dupp lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Dupp throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Jackson's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Dupp dives in looking to finish as Jackson flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Dupp's strikes! Dupp is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Jackson's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Jackson was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Amonga Timoti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dijoban Totohami (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Timoti might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Avenged Sevenfold - This Means War. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - WeBL screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mr WeBL!
As Mr WeBL got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: The true joy is knowing that when my pathetic opponent goes home to his family, his children will scream in horror at the sight of their father's disfigured face...'.

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Matt Gentry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Tauer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gentry comes to the ring accompanied by Triumph - Wu Tang Clan. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Gentry ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Tauer moves away.
Gentry definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Tauer connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
