Bagheri's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Tonight's Our Night. Peregrine Carruthers will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bagheri shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Carruthers defends it nicely.
Carruthers looks like he wants to counter punch here.

Bagheri fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Carruthers to the ground. Bagheri is now in Carruthers's guard.

Bagheri drops back looking for a leg! Carruthers is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Carruthers manages to kick Bagheri off! Bagheri jumps back into Carruthers's guard.

Bagheri got a little sloppy there for a moment and Carruthers has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bagheri has managed to get both his arms back between Carruthers's legs - danger averted.

Bagheri is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Bagheri thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Carruthers is looking for a triangle but Bagheri pushes his legs off easily.

Carruthers escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bagheri gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Carruthers is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Bagheri defends well.

Bagheri thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Bagheri drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bagheri jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Gruszczyk rushes Wilde and presses him up against the cage.
Gruszczyk will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Wilde up against the cage.
Wilde tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Gruszczyk lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Wilde is trying to break the clinch but Gruszczyk is controlling him.

Wilde covers up and Gruszczyk unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Hall's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Hall is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Hold has his foot on Hall's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hall works his way back into a safe position though.

Hold has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Hall is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Hold.
Hold tries to bench press Hall off him but Hall keeps the position.
Hold prevents Hall from moving into mount.

Hall tries to advance to mount but can't.
Hall remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Hold sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Hold switches off momentarily and Hall cracks him with a monster right hand! Hold topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Hall dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Hall!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Marley gets to his feet and stands over Gomu, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Gomu felt that one! Marley unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Gomu from any more punishment!
