The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wall stalks Sherdog and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Sherdog's face. Sherdog staggers backwards, shaken.

It looks like Dirk Sherdog has been cut.
Wall throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sherdog's waist but Sherdog gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Wall off to one side.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good leg kick by Gaston there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Sirra fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Gaston, pushing him back against the cage.
Gaston could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Gaston decides to pull guard.
Gaston wants to sweep here but Sirra controlling him for the moment.
Sirra connects with a couple of short punches.
Sirra pushes down on Gaston's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Sirra works his way into full mount!

Sirra goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Gaston is on top in guard.
Sirra has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Gaston wants to control from the top but Sirra keeps moving.

Sirra is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Gaston knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sirra on the ground.
Gaston tries to free his leg and advance position but Sirra is retaining full guard.

Gaston has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Sirra uses from the top position.
Gaston is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Gaston wants to stand and escape but instead Sirra has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Sirra drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Gaston dives on top into guard.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Gaston tries for a takedown but Sirra sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Sirra working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gaston doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gaston manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Gaston wants to control from the top but Sirra keeps moving.

Gaston is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Sirra has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Gaston is looking to defend but Sirra has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Gaston! Sirra pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Gaston taps out and this one is all over!
