Erik McCarthy comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well McCarthy has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Adams comes to the cage accompanied by Pride FC - Theme. Taylor is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Tool - Pushit. Scott Adams had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 171.5lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. This should be a great matchup!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Carson Walker!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walker doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Walker does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Nicu lands a slapping body shot.

Walker instigates a clinch.
Nicu scores with an uppercut up the middle.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Nicu.

It looks like Carson Walker has been cut.

Nicu pushes Walker back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Nicu is trying to pull guard but Walker turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Walker swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Nicu lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Walker backwards.
Nicu lands a left hand.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Nicu lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Walker or not.
Nicu has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Walker looks winded!

Nicu breaks the clinch.
Nicu connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Walker takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
That kick from Nicu tenderised Walker's leg. Walker is trying to keep his angry face on.

Nicu lands a big right hand that sends Walker crashing to the mat! Nicu stays standing though and waves Walker back to his feet!

Walker is rocked!
Look low, kick high! Nicu uses the oldest trick in the book to send Walker tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Nicu is absolutely delighted - when Walker wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Iosue Nicu!

After winning the bout, Iosue Nicu thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
