Hippolati comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Monster Mash kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hippolati checks the leg kick.

Drake tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Hippolati smiles and moves away.

Drake will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Drake shoots in looking for a takedown. Hippolati tries to sprawl out of it but Drake keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hippolati manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Drake tries to keep at a distance but Hippolati has taken the fight into the clinch.
Still in the clinch, Hippolati scores with a nice short uppercut.
Drake jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Hippolati walks away with a smile on his face. Drake gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Drake shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hippolati sprawls well. Hippolati wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Drake gets slowly back to his feet.

Drake dives in and grabs Hippolati's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hippolati pushes down on Drake's head and hops out.

Drake throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hippolati's waist but Hippolati gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Drake off to one side.

Hippolati drops Drake with a beautiful combination! Drake stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Hippolati is looking for the KO!

Oh Drake is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Drake shoots in looking for a takedown. Hippolati tries to sprawl out of it but Drake keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hippolati manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Drake shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Hippolati's guard.

Drake stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hippolati swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Hippolati is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Drake trying to control the position from guard on top but Hippolati is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Drake shoots for a double leg takedown but Hippolati sprawls well. He's pushed Drake's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Kaden Drake seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hippolati throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Drake fails to land the takedown.
Drake slips a jab and a cross from Hippolati.
Hippolati lands with a kick to the ribs.

Hippolati feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Hippolati really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Drake. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Drake feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
