Ryan Rems seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Khalifa sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Rems to the ground! Khalifa dives into full mount looking to finish!

Koizumi throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Canner on the side of the head.
No luck for Canner with that takedown attempt.

and Koizumi counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Koizumi has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

Canner pulls Koizumi in close to his closed guard and prevents Koizumi from doing any damage or advancing position.

Hanes moves in looking to clinch but Titan pushes him off.
Titan swings away with a leg kick that misses.

Hanes gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Hanes tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Titan is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Hanes buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Hanes!! Hanes is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Titan throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Morgan has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
