The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cristiano shoots in looking for a takedown but Normandy manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Cristiano's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Cristiano stuffs the takedown.

Normandy throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Cristiano tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Normandy is in Cristiano's guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Gatsalov might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Brakeley has got the better of the exchanges.
