Meridius fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Boubeez has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Boubeez has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Boubeez throws a lazy right hand but Meridius sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Meridius cracks Boubeez with an uppercut from hell and Boubeez crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Meridius's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
