The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab lands there for Nichols.
Santos has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Santos there as he acknowledges the shot.
Santos uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Nichols.
Nichols pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Nichols bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Nichols scores a knockdown with a big right hand! Santos beats the count and gets back to his feet. The referee asks him to walk forwards and it appears he is OK so we'll continue the bout.

It looks like Angel Santos has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Nichols throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Santos stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Nichols looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Boom! Nichols lands a massive head kick that sends Santos crashing into the ropes, followed by a classic face plant on the canvas! He's up to his knees but he's not going to beat the count - this one is all over! Nichols is jumping around like a lunatic, extatic with the win!
