The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mangrove staying out of range there.
Mangrove looks to score with a jab to the body but Erickson is just out of range.
Mangrove bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Erickson blocks a leg kick.
Erickson misses with a looping left.
Mangrove avoids a kick to the body.
Mangrove takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

and Erickson counters with a two punch combo.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mangrove pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

and Erickson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Erickson fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Mangrove on the side of the head.
Some bone on bone action there as Mangrove checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Erickson connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Mangrove throws out a powerful jab.

Mangrove rushes Erickson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Mangrove drops down looking for an ankle pick but Erickson pulls his leg out and moves away.
Mangrove loads up on a big right hand but Erickson slips the punch.
Mangrove pivots, looking for a leg kick but Erickson is out of range and Mangrove settles back down.
Erickson is looking to land body kicks.

Erickson tries to keep at a distance but Mangrove has taken the fight into the clinch.

Mangrove has picked Erickson up - he's going for a ride! Mangrove dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Still in half guard, Mangrove seems content to control.

Mangrove is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Erickson is just riding it out for now. Mangrove eventually gives up the hold.

Mangrove thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Mangrove is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Erickson looks calm but he's in trouble here. Mangrove gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Erickson is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Mangrove lets go of the hold and Erickson can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Garrison dives in and grabs Steller's left leg, looking for a takedown. Steller pushes down on Garrison's head and hops out.

Garrison shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Garrison wants to control from the top but Steller keeps moving.
Garrison looking to sit in guard and control but Steller gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.


Garrison escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Steller gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Steller got a little sloppy there for a moment and Garrison has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Steller has managed to get both his arms back between Garrison's legs - danger averted.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Steller connects with a nice short shot to Garrison's temple.

Steller really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Garrison. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Oh Garrison is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Steller lands a big elbow - Garrison is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Steller!

Sambo decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Mark manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Sambo fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Mark avoids it really well and circles away.

Sambo moves forwards but Mark connects with a nice, crisp jab.

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Mark! But no joy.

Sambo drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Mark sneaks out the side door and pushes Sambo away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Mark really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sambo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Sambo is working to tighten his grip on Mark's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Mark has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Sambo is really squeezing tight and eventually Mark passes out! Sambo breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

White lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Weir swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Little Rick!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rick tries for a takedown but Bush circles away easily

and Bush counters with a single leg into guard. Rick didn't expect that.

Rick looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Bush is stalling in the full guard.
Bush throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Rick works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Bush landing with the ground and pound.
Bush has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Bush scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rick has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bush can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Rick escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bush gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Bush's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Rick has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Bush should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Rick has tightened it up now! Bush should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
