The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aurelius on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Carriggian. Carriggian obviously looking to wear him down.

Carriggian closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Aurelius to the mat! Aurelius manages to get full guard.
Aurelius definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Carriggian trying to control but Aurelius is working from the bottom.
Carriggian controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Aurelius keeping moving, preventing Carriggian from controlling successfully.
Carriggian passes Aurelius's left leg - he's now in half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Aurelius knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Carriggian on the ground.

Carriggian lands a couple of good shots and Aurelius has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

Carriggian is cranking Aurelius's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Aurelius! He's tightened the choke and Aurelius is tapping out!

Hermes Franca seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Franca fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Franca has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Wallace shoots in looking for a takedown. Hunter tries to sprawl out of it but Wallace keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hunter manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Hunter dives in and grabs Wallace's left leg, looking for a takedown. Wallace pushes down on Hunter's head and hops out.
Hunter tries to score a power double leg takedown but Wallace sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hunter somewhat.
Hunter shoots for a takedown but Wallace saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Styles has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
