Acosta kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Saw Theme. Vegas comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Ace Of Spades by Motorhead kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vegas tries to clinch but Acosta moves out of range.
Vegas tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Acosta counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Vegas utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Acosta's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Vegas working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Acosta.
Acosta trying to control the position from guard on top but Vegas is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Acosta is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Jones swats away the attempt to clinch by Slade.
Slade is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Slade has his takedown stuffed
and Jones counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Jones misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Jones clinches up against the cage.
Slade manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Slade tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Jones jumps guard and drags Slade to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Jones escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Slade gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Barraza moves into range and clinches up with MacAuliffe.
MacAuliffe drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Barraza lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Barraza manages to break the clinch.
Barraza misses with the combination.
No luck for MacAuliffe with that takedown attempt.
Barraza displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as MacAuliffe throws out the jab.
A nice side step and Barraza releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Barraza has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

MacAuliffe drops down looking for a counter takedown but Barraza sprawls and moves away.

Barraza shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. MacAuliffe eats them both and turns towards Barraza to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Oh MacAuliffe is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Barraza is working the combinations to good effect here.
MacAuliffe gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! MacAuliffe tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Barraza is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and MacAuliffe buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves MacAuliffe!! MacAuliffe is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Barraza throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
