The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yarakos shoots for a takedown but McDermott saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Yarakos clinches.
McDermott presses Yarakos against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
McDermott stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
McDermott dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
McDermott stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Yarakos tries to throw a body punch but McDermott avoids it by throwing Yarakos back against the cage.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Yarakos has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Yarakos drops to a knee looking for a takedown but McDermott gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Yarakos tries to clinch up but McDermott pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Yarakos to the mat! Yarakos covers up and McDermott unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Walood Kassab (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucas Campos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Kassab might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Merauder - Life Is Pain. Lucas Campos told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

It looks like Walood Kassab has been cut.

Oooooh!!! Campos has knocked Kassab down with a huge combo! Campos steps away and waves a wobbly Kassab back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Kassab is rocked!
Kassab shoots in looking for a takedown but Campos manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kassab's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Oh Kassab is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Campos bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Campos wobbles Kassab with a right hand and the left hook that follows puts him on his rear! Campos dives in with a huge flying punch that connects right on the button and puts Kassab to sleep! - What a violent and spectacular finish!

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shaun Hale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Papas Kanamun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shaun Hale had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 207.4lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Soler fails with a takedown attempt.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Soler crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Wilson - the referee stops the clock and Soler gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Wilson. Soler manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Wilson stuffs the takedown.
Wilson tries a quick counter leg kick but Soler is wise to it.
Soler closes the distance and clinches up with Wilson, looking for a takedown. Soler pushes Wilson against the cage but Wilson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jorge Soler. That's going to take a lot out of him.
