The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Andrade moves away from the strike by Maul.
Maul tries to bum rush Andrade with a series of wild strikes but Andrade uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Maul throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Andrade.
Maul changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Maul throws a hook but Andrade avoids it easily.
Andrade on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Andrade ducks under a wild hook from Maul.
Maul looks to throw the jab but Andrade is out of range.
Andrade seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Good standup being displayed there by Maul as he connects with a hook.

It looks like Adriano Andrade has been cut.
Maul keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Andrade fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Maul throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Andrade colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Maul as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Andrade is left battered and dazed whilst Maul and his camp cheer!

Paul Maul decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sakata gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Ford counters with a nice low kick that buckles Sakata's knee momentarily.
Ford staying out of range there.

Ford lands a big head kick that sends Sakata tumbling to the mat! Ford takes a step backwards and waves Sakata back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Sakata is rocked!

It looks like Akio Sakata has been cut.
Ford lands with a good body shot.
Oh Sakata is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ford fakes the leg kick and cracks Sakata in the body.
Sakata is breathing heavily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Ford finds Sakata's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Sakata flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Ford lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Sakata will be OK.

Agamu felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
