Undercard bout

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Felix Primados (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kareem Montana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Kareem Montana was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Primados has managed to clinch.

Primados decides to pull guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Montana wants to stand and escape but instead Primados has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Primados is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Montana really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Primados. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Primados closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Montana did well to prevent Primados getting side control.
Primados looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Montana with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Primados here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Seagan lands a jab to the nose.

Seagan feints and then cracks Alcantara's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Alcantara down.
The fight stays on the outside here - Alcantara looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Seagan feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Alcantaras jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Seagan wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Seagan stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Seagan wants it to stay on the feet.

It looks like Ruben Alcantara has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Seagan takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Alcantara stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Seagan.
Seagan lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Seagan lands a left and a right that send Alcantara crashing to the mat, dazed. Seagan thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Seagan cracks Alcantara with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Seagan has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Alcantara to stand back up!
Alcantara is still on wobbly legs! Can Seagan finish him?

That has opened up Ruben Alcantara's cut even more.

Seagan cracks Alcantara with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Alcantara dives in and grabs Seagan's left leg, looking for a takedown. Seagan pushes down on Alcantara's head and hops out.
Alcantara seems to have recovered his senses.
Lance Seagan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ruben Alcantara.

Seagan lands a big head kick that sends Alcantara tumbling to the mat! Seagan takes a step backwards and waves Alcantara back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Seagan lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Alcantara can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Seagan and Alcantara drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Seagan.

Lance Seagan opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
