The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mayoniko gets a double leg takedown into Long's guard.

Long throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Long working for submissions but it's allowed Mayoniko to get to half guard.
Mayoniko uses his free foot to push down on Long's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Long.

Long feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Long isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Mayoniko stacks Long on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Mayoniko!

Berkantov fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Vantuiese throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

and Vantuiese counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Vantuiese throws a looping overhand right but Berkantov ducks down to avoid it.

Vantuiese scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Berkantov is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Vantuiese can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!

Modack scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Saunders looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Modack slaps away a takedown attempt from Saunders, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Modack scores with the left hand. Saunders knows he should have avoided that one.
Modack definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Saunders tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Modack defends well and Saunders ends up having to push Modack into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Modack.
Saunders takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Modack lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Saunders goes down and covers up as Modack starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!

A relieved looking Terry Modack thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
Lazarus Saunders was interviewed post fight and said 'Everyone looses, and i guess this was my time, congrats to my opponent, he is a formidable opponent. I shall come back stronger than aver.'.

I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Peter James was going to win. Let's see if he was right.
