Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Chris Zyb (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Liam Murdock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zyb comes to the cage accompanied by "Battle" by Gangstarr. Murdock has chosen I Have A Dream as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Murdock closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
You can see the frustration on Zyb's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Murdock is working to tighten his grip on Zyb's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Zyb has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Murdock is really squeezing tight and eventually Zyb passes out! Murdock breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Liam Murdock!
After the big win, Liam Murdock made sure to do all the important stuff like thanking his sponsors Valhalla Fight Wear and telling the interviewer how much he loves him.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mudgett throws a chopping leg kick but Lockheart manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Mudgett misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Lockheart looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
A little feinted left hand from Mudgett on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Lockheart goes for a double leg but Mudgett avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Mudgett continues to drive forward.

Lockheart feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
