The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nozara lands a jab.

It looks like Russell Patterson has been cut.
Russell Patterson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Patterson looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Patterson takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Patterson moves to clinch but Nozara breaks away

and Nozara counters with a single leg into guard. Patterson didn't expect that.

Patterson is rocked!

Nozara drops back looking for a leg! Patterson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Patterson manages to kick Nozara off! Nozara jumps back into Patterson's guard.
Patterson is still in real trouble! Can Nozara finish him?
Nozara stays in close to Patterson's body and controls the position.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Nozara accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Patterson seems to have recovered his senses.
Nozara stands up over Patterson, holding on to his feet. Nozara throws the legs to one side and dives in with a huge shot that lands flush on the chin! Patterson is out cold! Nozara lands a couple more shots and the ref tackles him out of the way! What a brutal finish!

Tisoaka has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Azbuhlev is landing a low percentage of strikes.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Romaneiro closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Nascimento's guard.
Romaneiro tries to free his leg and advance position but Nascimento is retaining full guard.

Nascimento looks to land a left hand but Romaneiro moved out of range nicely.
Romaneiro tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Nascimento defends well and Romaneiro ends up having to push Nascimento into the ropes where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Nascimento displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Romaneiro throws out the jab.

Romaneiro shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Nascimento pinned against the ropes. Nascimento gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Nascimento lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Nascimento celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.

Cristiano Nascimento decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
