The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodri shoots for a double leg takedown but Dettman sprawls well. He's pushed Rodri's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Rodri fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Dettman tried to counter with a leg kick but Rodri avoided it.
Rodri shoots in but Dettman avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Dettman seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Dettman shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Rodri is trying to defend but Dettman finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Morris comes into the arena with Prong - Snap your fingers, snap your neck blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Morris has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Colston finds it's way round the side to connect with Morris's head.

Morris gets caught flat footed, as Colston shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Colston postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Colston really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Morris. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Morris is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Colston throws a big elbow that misses.
Colston throws a strike but Morris rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fretwell scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Nice sprawl there from Jones as Fretwell shoots in.
Jones gets in close and tags Fretwell with a short punch that almost sends Fretwell to the mat! Oh Fretwell is in big trouble! He turns his back on Jones, trying to create some distance but Jones rushes him, striking wildly and Fretwell goes down! The referee tackles Jones into the cage to end the fight! Jones is one violent man!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tom Jones!
Tom Jones is the new light heavyweight champion!
