THA VAPOUR tries to close the distance and clinch but Mabie swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Mabie misses with a low kick.
Mabie avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Mabie drops THA VAPOUR with a beautiful combination! THA VAPOUR stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Mabie is looking for the KO!

It looks like Vinny THA VAPOUR has been cut.
THA VAPOUR tries to clinch there but Mabie circles away.
THA VAPOUR is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Mabie has managed to clinch.
THA VAPOUR blocks the elbow strike.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mabie throws a push kick but THA VAPOUR slaps the foot to one side.

and Mabie counters with a huge left! THA VAPOUR is in big trouble! He's backing up but Mabie isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save THA VAPOUR from any more damage. A dominating finish by Mabie!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Withrow darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Withrow is looking for a kimura but Alvarado is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Withrow to get the leverage.
Withrow tries to pass the half guard into mount. Alvarado knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Alvarado is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Withrow trying to control the pace.
Withrow stops Alvarado from getting back to his feet.
Alvarado really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Withrow. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Withrow is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Withrow seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Alvarado for as long as he can get away with.

Withrow is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Pup shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Butts sprawls well. Butts wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Pup gets slowly back to his feet.

Butts shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Pup counters with a shoot takedown. Butts fights it but they end up in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Butts wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Pup is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
