The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nealson with a lazy takedown attempt
and Mustalaanen counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Nealson shoots in looking for a takedown. Mustalaanen tries to sprawl out of it but Nealson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mustalaanen manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Nealson goes for a double leg but Mustalaanen avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Mustalaanen continues to drive forward.
Leif Mustalaanen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Robert Nealson.
Nealson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Mustalaanen swivels and escapes.

Robert Nealson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
