A little jabbing left from Materson on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Lee shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Materson's guard.

We've been hearing reports that Komodo has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Savea tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

William throws a big elbow that misses.
Savea looking to hit a scissor sweep but William is one step ahead there.
William tries to free his leg and advance position but Savea is retaining full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Savea preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Savea wants to stand and escape but William is having none of it.
William trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
William tries to score a power double leg takedown but Savea sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten William somewhat.
Savea has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
William closes the distance and clinches up with Savea, looking for a takedown. William pushes Savea against the cage but Savea circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

and Savea connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

William has instead reached around Savea's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! William arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

James lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Rauparaha backs up against the cage.

and Rauparaha counters with a stiff right hand.

It looks like Kevin James has been cut.
Kevin James seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rauparaha takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
James is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Rauparaha.
Rauparaha throws a counter high kick but James was just alert enough to avoid it.
Rauparaha ducks under a wild hook from James.
James will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Rauparaha connects with a high kick.

James is rocked!
James switches off momentarily and Rauparaha cracks him with a monster right hand! James topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Rauparaha dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Rauparaha!
