The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Octopulus lands a leg kick that knocks Santoro off balance momentarily.
We've been hearing reports that Octopulus has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Good leg kick by Octopulus there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Santoro takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Octopulus tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Santoro tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Hardman stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Simpson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Simpson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Simpson is looking to cinch up a triangle. Hardman throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Simpson's body to avoid the submission. Simpson has instead reached around Hardman's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Simpson arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Lynch's coach down at The Cooker was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Lynch's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Bang pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Lynch back to the cage. Bang follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Well Lynch has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
