The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scalante connects with a high kick.
Sloppy strikes from Scalante. Those never looked like landing.
Scalante avoids the body shot from Redyan.
A right-left combo lands from Scalante.

It looks like Red Redyan has been cut.
Scalante throws a series of punches but Redyan moves out of range.
Rocky Scalante seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Scalante lands a left and a right that send Redyan crashing to the mat, dazed. Scalante thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Redyan is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Scalante connects with a nice cross there... Redyan is looking wobbly and Scalante recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Redyan to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Scalante jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burns tries to score a power double leg takedown but Wai sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Burns somewhat.
Burns has his takedown stuffed
and Wai cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Burns has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Sanitarium in the buildup to the fight.
Wai ducks under a wild hook from Burns.
Wai feints the counter takedown.
Wai fails with the takedown.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Burns misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Burns is breathing heavily.
Burns shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Wai as he avoids it easily.

and Wai counters with a nice double leg into side control. Burns won't be happy with that.
Wai remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Wai is looking to take a break and control but Burns is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Wai is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Wai has hold of Burns's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Burns seems comfortable defending it but Wai has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Burns is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Burns is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Wai couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Miller comes into the arena with Ennio Morricone- The Good, The Bad and The Ugly blaring out of the sound system. Nelson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Miller swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Miller feints and then cracks Nelson's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Nelson down.

Miller lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Miller pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Nelson with the counter takedown but Miller avoids it easily.
Miller throws a sloppy head kick and Nelson moves out of range easily.

Miller lands a big head kick that sends Nelson tumbling to the mat! Miller takes a step backwards and waves Nelson back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Conor Nelson has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
An inside leg kick lands from Miller.
Nelson is still on wobbly legs! Can Miller finish him?
Nelson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Miller circles away.
Miller throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Nelson on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Miller. Miller obviously looking to wear him down.
Miller looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Miller backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Nelson's temple! It sends Nelson violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Miller celebrates and the doctors try to help Nelson!
