Ross shoots in looking for a takedown. Goverdeen tries to sprawl out of it but Ross keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Goverdeen manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Ross should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Mockenmaker lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Hallak swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Mockenmaker throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Hallak on the side of the head.
Mockenmaker fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hallak manages to avoid it.
Mockenmaker has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

He tries to recover but Schmierer pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Anderson is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
