The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kanachi throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Kanachi throws a head kick but Shinkwan moves out of range.
Juya Kanachi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shinkwan forces Kanachi back against the ropes and clinches.
Kanachi has a couple of punches blocked by Shinkwan.
A head punch on the inside from Kanachi fails to land.
Shinkwan breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Shinkwan lands a front kick to the face, that drops Kanachi to the canvas! Is he dazed or just shocked? He's back to his feet and the referee is going to allow him to continue the fight!
It looks like Juya Kanachi has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
