The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Lee does no damage.

Chun closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Lee wants to break free but Chun has control.
A frustrated look appears on Lee's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Chun lands an elbow just above Lee 's eye.

It looks like Morgan Lee has been cut.
Lee takes an elbow to the forehead.
Chun creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Lee's defenses.

With the fighters up against the cage, Chun throws an elbow but misses.

Robertsson drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Lee utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Robertsson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Robertsson is looking to work some ground and pound but Lee has wrist control.

Lee is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Lee is fighting off a takedown attempt but Robertsson is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Lee to the mat. Lee regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Chelovek really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Newton. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Newton is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Chelovek can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Chelovek wants to hold on but Newton pushes him away.

Newton is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Chelovek is forced to tap! Great finish!

Simon throws a one two combo.
Simon cracks Manov with a right hand to the side of the head.
Manov misses with a takedown attempt - Simon sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Manov shoots in for a takedown but Simon shows good takedown defense.
Manov is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Simon moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Charles Simon!
Charles Simon was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
