Ghotha shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Ghotha was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Rugowski wants to control but Ghotha postures up.

Ghotha looks up at the clock and then as Rugowski takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Ghotha smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
We've been hearing good reports from Rugowski's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Bourque throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Leonardo's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Bourque dives in looking to finish as Leonardo flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Bourque's strikes! Bourque is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Leonardo's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Leonardo was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
