The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dekker clobbers Kole with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Nice body punch from Dekker.
Dekker fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Kole.
Dekker fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Dekker misses with a head kick.
Kole is looking to clinch but Dekker is avoiding it.
Kole pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Kole tries to clinch up but Dekker circles away and keeps his distance.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Kole has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Kole shoots in looking for a takedown. Dekker tries to sprawl out of it but Kole keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dekker manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
