The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Chavez has closed the distance and engaged Lucania in a clinch.

Chavez escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lucania's coach down at ~T~ Troid - Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Lucania's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Lucania throws a nice looking combination but Chavez bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Lucania throws a hook to the side of Chavez's head but Chavez sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Chavez takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Lucania ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Chavez lands a two punch combo.

It looks like Salvatore Lucania has been cut.
Lucania cracks Chavez with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Lucania moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Lucania connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Chavez throws an overhand right that drops Lucania like a sack of potatoes! Chavez dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Major Lazer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pan Goatboy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lazer's entrance music is Major Lazer - Pon De Floor. A fine choice. Goatboy is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Bill Hicks - Goat boy. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Nice takedown defense from Goatboy. No joy for Lazer on that attempt.
