The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tran shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Waldbauer as he jumps to the side.
Tran throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Waldbauer pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Tran back to the cage. Waldbauer follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Tran fails to land the takedown.
No joy there for Tran, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Tran looks to land a combination but Waldbauer avoids it well.
Waldbauer tries to clinch up.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Oppelaar. That did some damage!

Oppelaar bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

We've been hearing good reports from Oppelaar's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
