The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oliveira darts in looking for a takedown but Alves gets double underhooks and turns Oliveira into the cage.

Alves tries to pull guard but Oliveira forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Oliveira shoots for a double leg takedown but Alves sprawls well. He's pushed Oliveira's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Oliveira tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Alves swivels and escapes.
Oliveira dives in and grabs Alves's left leg, looking for a takedown. Alves pushes down on Oliveira's head and hops out.

Alves tries to sprawl but Oliveira drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Oliveira uses his free foot to push down on Alves's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Alves.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Alves stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Alves wants it to stay on the feet.

Oliveira misses with a takedown attempt - Alves sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Oliveira has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Alves should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Oliveira has tightened it up now! Alves should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

Burns looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Adur!

Burns is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Adur looks calm but he's in trouble here. Burns gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Adur is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Burns lets go of the hold and Adur can pop his arm back in it's socket.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Mioda.

Mioda moves into the clinch.
Adur scores with a knee to the head.

It looks like Matsumae Mioda has been cut.
Adur jerks Mioda's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Mioda drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Adur goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Adur because Mioda was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knee). Marcel Adur!

A relieved looking Marcel Adur thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
