These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

chaupin uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Saver.

Saver misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
chaupin looks to land a body kick but Saver moved away.

Saver shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Ludovic drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Ludovic turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Ludovic manages to end up in side control.
Lafay can't do much from the bottom here.

The crowd seem to be enjoying St Pierre's choice of entrance music: Break Stuff. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!
