Davies with a poor takedown

and Emelyanenko moves into the clinch.
Davies tries to pull guard but Emelyanenko won't allow it.
Davies jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Emelyanenko walks away with a smile on his face. Davies gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Tyrell's coach down at Sun Tzu's Art of War was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Tyrell's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Karson dives in for a single leg takedown but Tyrell sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

That was a close second round but I would say that Sigurd Karson will probably get the nod.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Karson crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Tyrell - the referee stops the clock and Karson gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Tyrell. Karson manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Tyrell throws a leg kick which misses Karson's front leg but catches the back leg as Karson tries to avoid it.

Karson feints and as Tyrell raises his hands in defense, Karson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!

Karson passes Tyrell's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Tyrell is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Tyrell is trying to control but can't.
Tyrell wants to get back to full guard.

Karson is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Tyrell defends it well.
Tyrell is trying to maintain the position but Karson is very close to passing his half guard.
