McCarthy feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Storms jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

It looks like Mason Storm has been cut.
Storm uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from McCarthy.
Storm dives in for a single leg takedown but McCarthy sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
McCarthy slows down the pace here.
McCarthy pushes Storm back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

I was talking to McCarthy's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Storm changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. McCarthy tries to avoid it but Storm manages to keep hold of a leg and drag McCarthy to the ground. McCarthy escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
McCarthy lands a nice leg kick that just misses Storm's sensitive parts.

McCarthy cracks Storm with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Storm looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can McCarthy finish him?

Storm is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
McCarthy throws a powerful right kick. Storm tried to block low but the kick was high! Storm was taken right off of his feet! McCarthy jumps in to finish the job and the ref tackles him! The fight is over!

David McCarthy retains his welterweight title!
David McCarthy decided to call for a title shot in his post fight interview, which was very strange given the fact this fight was for a title and he's already the champion. I guess that's what getting punched in the head does for you.
