We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Hauor has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Malcolm Mitchell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Adrian McMullen!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Sosuke Kotani and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mitchell fakes high and swings low for a body shot but McMullen manages to avoid it.
Malcolm Mitchell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mitchell punishes McMullen's body with a nice straight punch.
Nice uppercut lands for Mitchell. That snapped McMullen's head back.

Mitchell closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. McMullen quickly recovers to half guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Mitchell is keen to just control but McMullen is a slippery customer.
Mitchell blocks the strikes from McMullen.
McMullen moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

McMullen has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mitchell can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
