The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Silva displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Smith.
No joy there for Silva, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Silva misses with a jab, cross combination.
Smith throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Silva's waist but Silva gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Smith off to one side.

Doerner shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Loaf but Loaf pushes him off and we're back to square one.

We've been hearing reports that Loaf has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
