Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kett Dela Calzada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kaleo Makua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dela Calzada comes to the cage accompanied by Papercut. Kaleo Makua told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! Tsvetkov bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Gracie's head backwards.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Gracie has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Gracie shoots in looking for a takedown. Tsvetkov tries to sprawl out of it but Gracie keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Tsvetkov manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
We've been told by Tsvetkov's head coaches at Bi-polar Asylum that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
