The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ali motions for Henderson to come forward. Ali throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Ali lands a front kick.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Ali throws a head kick but Henderson moves out of range.
Henderson shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Ali displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Henderson throws out the jab.

Ali throws a wild body kick that Henderson sees coming a mile off.

Henderson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Ali's coach down at Cozad MMA Sydney was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Ali's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Ali gets caught flat footed, as Henderson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Henderson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Ali's guard.
Henderson working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Henderson winds up and cracks Ali with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Henderson is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Henderson takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Hopes postures up in Ghost's guard and throws a big left but Ghost blocks it.

Hopes throwing shots but Ghost is blocking nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ghost landing rabbit punches to the side of Hopes's head. Not doing much damage but still scoring a few points.
Hopes thows a huge punch but Ghost dodges it nicely.
Hopes not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Ghost throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

Hopes seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Ghost is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
